I did called NSC IO yesterday and she said that my packet must have been in caught up in the front log.

The answer to your question is: Nothing. They may be waiting, because of many reasons like, they are scared, do not care, there are other opportunities, tired of this immigration crap, lack of enough knowledge regarding their rights.
Now, I do not think the onus correcting such mistakes is 100% on the EAD folks' shoulders. I remember reading how slavery ended in this country. Slavery died, not because the black people fought for the abolition of slavery; slavery ended when the white man realized that slavery is wrong.
Based on the same logic, I would say that the job of stopping discrimination against EAD/H1B etc. is mainly the responsibility of Citizens and GC holders. It is their country; it is up to them to fix it.
My question is -
what are these "1000s of folks" doing? Are they waiting for someone else to work for their cause?
If they believe they were wronged, they need to take action. Without any action, nothing is going to happen.
And, yes, these is discrimination on the both side of the lines. Have you looked at the hiring practices of leading desi outsourcing/consulting companies in the US?

Think no salary on bench, lack minimum professional decorum, professional ethics on employers side. But overall my sympathies are with employee and more so in this case.

-- 25k because its just not about H-1b costs. Its business. Business needs to make profits and be healthy. Business dont want H-1B employees who would like to stay for less than an year. It affects other H-1B employees and their immigration process. Businesses hate to ask H-1Bs from INS and cancel H-1s. It puts a blotch on the Business. Afterall INS give H-1B approval hoping that the employee works with the employer for atleast 3 years .
Hoarding I-140, labor certificatio etc and giving no visibility is another deal breaker.I just dont get it.

If, for a minute the employer in this case thinks in positive way, ( My former employee would be at this place, couuld be in a position where I can sell more, i could get referral for new employees) he wouldnt be doing something like this which downright irresponsible and can cause significant damage to his shareholders. Being a small world goes on both sides.
Thats pretty optimistic and long term thinking.
For a techie, clilent is king. I would never displease the ultimate beneficiary of my services. Even after my project is over, I keep in touch, do occasional free consulting all in hope of building my network. But for employers like these, who add no value, i have no sympathies.

I diagree with you. If you get your GC, you plan to buy a home here and try to settle here. so in my words if you get GC then no more remittances.
People on H1 they are not sure whether to buy a home or assets here, what if the case i need to go back due to my visa etc.

What I posted was a plea to introspect (more so as the first anniversary of the D.C. rally approaches) - it was in no way dismissive of your efforts, or an effort to ridicule or demean your thread or its spirit.
Not sure why you felt the need to be rude - being firm and clear about your goals is a sign of leadership, and being blunt may get you some more brownie points. However, brash/rude behavior is not a substitute for that clarity and firmness, imho - particularly with those who may be working towards the same goals as you are (albeit coming at it from a different angle).

I thinks EB3 INDIA will move between 9/11/2001 to JAN 2004 , because after 9/11 probably few people applied for GreenCrd because of market condition, even h1b quotas are not used for 2002 and 2003, i applied for h1b on 2004 April , no surprise the quota available because of market condition.

Make it to 2.5K instead of 5K. By the speed we are in right now, I don't think we will reach your destination so early. But contribution is being very slow. Sorry for being -ve.
Had this been a call to build some temple or religious place I bet we would had been collected 5 - 10 times more than what we are at now.
I took the example here from a temple collection in my area, which when planned to upgrade it's kitchen, collected more than 175K in 15 days.
