Hi,
My in-laws came to US last Firday along with my kid who is a US citizen.
Their passport has a stamp that says Admitted on Apr 17 at Chicago, Class B2 and "Until" is blank. There should be a date that tells they can stay until this date.
What are my options now. Do i need to let it go or contact some one and bring it to their notice etc..
Any help is appreciated
Are you saying the I-94 does not have the date written in the "until" column or is it only on the passport? I will appreciate your comments on my situation. I also have approved I-140 from TX and my company may ask me to move to NY/NJ for another project.
I also have one LC from MN pending in DBEC. Can I move to NY or do I have to go thru the PERM again?

I think IV did great today. BUT
lets not act as children and pick fights with AILA. Please remember, due to their vested interest, there is NO ONE else who is more PRO-immigrant than AILA.. not even tech-employers..
So if they are saying situation might be fluid and if they are saying not to spread rumours.. then so BE it..
I hope I am wrong but seems like tiny access and frustration is causing few IV core members BIG heads ..
This is time to be calm, AND YES DISCREET!!!!
Before people start dumping on me.. please note.. we are among friends here and one of the ways to keep in check these things is to call upon friends when you feel they made a mistake.. and I FEEL IV made a mistake.. NOT in disclosing the knowledge but making an issue out of AILA warning and picking fights with them..! So lets take that out.. we know you stand by.. why keep it..?

I take it the program you applied for is not in the NRMP match and/or you are given a pre-match.
In any case if you want the program you desire and you are fortunate to have the EAD in hand ...what should stop you ! In my opinion just use the EAD and make the best.
I am using AC21 and my spouse is also going in for fellowship. We did not blink a moment to make the best out of the EAD.
So go for it ! (after consulting a reputable attorney if that would make you feel better)

Just now my lawyer called to tell that she got all my receipts , filed on july 2nd but my wifes application was rejected for "insufficient filing fees", I had put in a single check for $745 , how can this be, it was both in the same fedex packet, she says it is some "mailroom error", so she sent back the application with a letter and my receipt copy to accept. My app also had a $745 check and that was receipted,

You guys are the experts.. I am a newbie. Good I asked, I would have never known!!
Am I missing something here. Isn't it via country of birth and not country of citizenship. There might be better ways to get around the system. EB2 Indians should marry EB3 ROW folk and apply cross-chargeability! I have yet to think of a way out for EB3 India!

I got EADs for me and my wife, but photos got swaped.

Can you please share more.? My company also deals with Littler Global, and have not heard such news as of now.
Our lawyer Company has decided to file the AOS application in July
I work for a big 5 Software company & our lawyer Littler Global had taken a stand on July that they will not file our AOS application after the June VB was revoked/amended on July 2nd.
Surprisingly , today we have received a mail from them that that keeping in view our best interest they have decided to file our AOS case in July regardless of CIS receipting them.
Wanted to share this information as it may be helpful for you folks too ...

Yes forwarded the copy to the lawyer this morning.I have an appointment with lawyer Friday morning regarding this..So for lawyer office didn't received anything from uscis.
Here is my backround
1)Worked for Company A from 2003 to 2008.
2)Company A applied I-140 and approved April 2006. AOS 485 filed on July 2007. Got EAD but never used it
3)September 2008 I have Joined employer “B” by transferring H1B (Valid until Aug 21st 2010).
4)Employer A revoked 140 which triggered 485 denials in October 2008.
5)Applied MTR and it was approved in NOVEMBER 2008 and 485 re-opened.
This is the only major concern I have.Though I have approved MTR and 485 re-opened, but my online status of 485 still showing denied.
My AP approved last month.......my wife EAD,AP approved last month.I am the primary..strange
I know I have moderate control over this situation.Just having good faith & hope.This whole thing H1-B,DL,GC,EAD,AP & visa stamping ..etc what a pain for some people.Very sad.For uscis error(485 denial wrongly) I am not only lost money( closee to 5k) also lost "n" no of days of sleep back in 2008 and now :mad:

Sorry about your situation. Its really sad with kids here. I would say submit whatever letter vendor's providing. If that doesn't work, then client needs to force the vendor/employer to give copy of the contract/SOW.

Hi All,
Thank you for your overwhelming response. I did spoke to an attorney and rightfully got sucked out with $$ but it gave me some peace of mind for sure.
1. His recommendation was that the maximum penalty in my case would be 10,000 $ + 2 months notice as given i my policy. Apart from this wipro cannot claim any more and again this could be challenged if asked for in USA but would work in wipro's favor if it is claimed in India.
2. But he did mentioned that many of other clauses could be challenged.
3. He also cautioned me that Wipro cannot be bounded to give my Experience letter :(
Bottom line is i'm ready to pay 10,000$ + remaining 4 weeks notice and get a clean exit. Yes some of you might argue otherwise but i thought from my personal perspective this is right decision as i have plans to get my GC processed.

Even PA DMV also adopted more troublesome procedure of giving DL to the LEGAL IMMIGRANTS.
Even after having VALID EAD DOCUMENT, verifying ORIGINAL USCIS documents and ORIGINAL SOCIAL SECURITY CARD why DMV want to check status with USCIS again?
What do they get out of that process?? Seems like another way of harassing LEGAL IMMIGRANTS.
Why redundant procedures???... Why to waste tax payers money with these kinds of redundant policies??
Why individual states like PA, GA and SC adopting these policies??
